Congenitally Missing Teeth
Dental implants are a great option to replace teeth that are missing due to congenital defects. It allows to replace a missing tooth without affecting the adjacent teeth like a fixed bridge does. It is is not uncommon for there to be bone deficiencies in edentulous sites that need to be addressed prior to or at the time of implant placement via bone grafting procedures. We recommend assessing teenagers around the age of 16 to develop a plan that ensures treatment is staged in a manner that results in an aesthetic outcome with great longevity.
